Bruno Fernandes, a midfielder for Manchester United, has expressed the team's desire for more trophies following their win in the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United. The Red Devils secured their first trophy in six years with first-half goals from Casemiro and an own goal from Sven Botman.
After the match, Fernandes spoke to Sky Sports and said, "We have been searching for this moment. I am satisfied now because I get my trophy but I want more." The Portugal international went on to emphasize that while the win was a good start, it was not enough for a club like Manchester United. "It's the first trophy of the season but we want more and need more. This is not enough for this club," he said.
The last time Manchester United won a trophy was in the 2016-17 season when they won both the EFL Cup and Europa League under the leadership of Jose Mourinho. Despite Sunday's victory, the team remains focused on chasing more domestic and European honors this season.
In the Europa League, they defeated Barcelona to reach the last 16, while in the FA Cup, they face West Ham United at Old Trafford in the fifth round on Wednesday. Additionally, they are currently third in the Premier League table, eight points behind leaders Arsenal, with 14 games left to play.
